Home GIVING
Jesus talked more about money than He did prayer, heaven or hell. Why? Because He said, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matthew 6:21). Giving is a heart issue that reflects what we believe and what we want to become.

We believe giving is an act of worship, as we learn to respond in a very tangible way to the incredible generosity of God. We give out of grateful hearts in recognition that God owns everything, and we are to be faithful stewards of all he entrusts to us.

Giving Options

First Christian Church is pleased to offer several convenient giving methods. Consider taking advantage of one of these easy giving options as you tithe and contribute to the ministry of First Christian Church. These methods allow you to donate to the General Fund of the church or to the Building Fund or the Missions Program of the church.

Weekend Services
For your convenience, offering envelopes are available for donations to the General Budget as well as the Building Fund and Missions. Simply place cash or checks (payable to First Christian Church) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering plate during any of the Sunday services, or mail it to First Christian Church, and we will apply your gift. Be sure to indicate on the check or envelope whether the funds should be designated for General Fund, Building Fund, or Missions.

Online Giving
This safe and flexible option is an easy way to give at First Christian Church. This method allows you to schedule a one-time gift, which can be charged to your debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). In our digital age when people are increasingly paying bills and conducting commerce online, First Christian Church has chosen to make online giving available to those who are interested. First Christian Church teaches that living "debt free" is a worthy goal for all Christians. Online Giving does involve the use of credit and debit transactions and makes no distinction between the two. Every giver should exercise care and concern in using credit cards for giving. We offer this option only as a convenience and not as a way to circumvent sound biblical money management principles or incur debt.

Electronic Funds Transfer
First Christian now has the ability to automatically draft your regular offering to the church from your bank account. This is an incredible way to put your support of God's ministries at the top of the priority list. No longer will you have to worry about forgetting your checkbook or mailing in a contribution while you are away. The church is fully funded by giving members, and this allows the church to effectively manage our resources by depending upon consistent and automatic gifts.

Getting started is simple and easy. A form must be completed and submitted with a voided check. We will offer once a week (on Monday), once a month (on the 1st or the 15th), or semi-monthly (2nd & 16th) transfer options. You can cancel or change your gift at any time, as long as you notify the office in advance of a scheduled draft. You may download this Debit Authorization Agreement (PDF) or pick one up at Connecting Point. Please give the completed form to Erin Hull, Eugene Storjohann or Steve Ross, or place it in the offering box to the left of Connecting Point.

Other Options
If a cash gift is not an option for you, consider some of the following creative ideas: stocks, mutual funds, land, homes.
