Fall, 1957
A meeting of the leaders of the Jennings, Ferguson and Fourth Christian Churches in St. Louis was held to begin preliminary plans for a Christian church in the growing community of Florissant.
April, 1958
Mid-week prayer and planning meetings were held at the home of Bill and Lassie Uhlemeyer until a property, purchased by St. Louis Christian College, became available.
May 18, 1958
The first services, held by former Ferguson Christian Church minister Hubert Burris, were held in an old white farmhouse on the SLCC campus. 28 persons were present and, at the close of the service, twelve of them placed membership with the new congregation.
June, 1959
The church moved to 890 Lindsay Lane and changed its name to First Christian Church of Florissant.
September, 1972
Charles Wingfield was called to ministry and soon thereafter the church had begun to outgrow the facilities on Lindsay Lane.
May 21, 1980
A purchase was made of our present property at 2890 Patterson Road.
January, 1983
Construction began on what would be Phase I of the building program.
February, 1987
Steve Wingfield joins staff as Associate Minister.
February, 1988
Construction began on Phase II, a two-story educational wing.
May, 1993
Phase III began, consisting of expanded office space, a preschool wing and second floor classrooms.
October, 2004
Construction began of a new 1,625-seat worship center.
October, 2006
